The photo payment feature was already available in the 1822direkt banking app, but it delivered poor recognition quality. Recipients, IBANs, and payment references often had to be corrected manually. This led to cancellations and additional effort for users. Since the introduction of the Docutain Photo Payment SDK, recognition has been stable. Transfers can be entered more quickly and adjustments are generally no longer necessary, making usage much smoother and more reliable.

The most important advantage is that the Docutain SDK recognizes invoice data directly on the user's device. Previously, photo payment was also integrated directly into the app, but processing was done via an upload, which affected speed.
